Fabulous Finds for Summer Fun
Portable Wine Glasses
I love to spend as much time as I can outside in the summer. That includes at the pool and the beach. At the same time, I like to have my wine close by. But wine glasses should not be anywhere near either location. So, I was so excited to find all these spill proof, no-slip grip, unbreakable wine glasses. You have two great choices here. One, the Summit Legacy, that is discreet and has multiple uses or the Vino2Go, that is a wine glass sippy cup!
Summit Legacy Wine Glasses
One of my favorites is Summit Legacy Summit Outdoor Wine Glasses and that’s probably because I’m into stemless wine glasses these days. While I debated because it’s made of stainless steel, there’s actually no metallic taste and the big plus is that they can be used for any beverage. I can use it for coffee in the morning, water in the afternoon, and wine in the evening!
It’s insulated so keeps all beverages hot or cold. All you have to do is pour, seal, and enjoy! It comes with a BPA-free plastic lid with a silicone seal that won’t leak. It comes in 2 sizes, 8 or 12 oz. and multiple colors.
Just an FYI – They also make great hostess gifts when you’re stuck trying to think of something unique to take to your next party!
Vino2Go Insulated Wine Glass
The Vino2Go is a double-wall, insulated travel cup perfect for pool parties, picnics, and any outdoor events. I love the floating wine glass stem with the silicone lid stops that stops spills and prevents bugs from checking out your wine. The insulations means that your wine maintains an ideal temperature without condensation. They’re also available in a ton of fun colors.
Vivere Double Hammock
I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love to relax in a hammock, but not many people actually have one. This Vivere Double Hammock is the perfect spot for a nap, reading a book, soaking up some rays, or sharing with someone you love. The sturdy steel frame is easy to assemble and take apart to take it with you or move location. Plus, it’s more compact then other frames so doesn’t take up as much space.
Sony XB10 Portable Wireless Bluetooth Speaker
If you love to be outside whether it’s enjoying food and drink, sitting by the pool or at the beach, or having a picnic, you more than likely want to listen to some music. I know I certainly do. But I also want something that’s portable, water resistant, and of good quality, This Sony XB10 has all these features, plus it’s very cute, comes in multiple colors, and has a long battery life of about 16 hours.
I also love the detachable strap so I have the option to hang. The bluetooth pairing is very easy and the controls are intuitive. You can also pair two of these speakers and use them as stereo speakers.
Overall, I found this Sony to be an excellent speaker to use either outdoors or indoors. The price is under $40. You can also get a cute travel case for about $10.
Zipzicle Ice Pop Molds
When I saw these Zipzicle Ice Pop Pouches it brought back so many great childhood summer memories. I knew I had to have them. How fun to create your own popsicle concoctions with these pouches. Think strawberry daiquiri, margaritas, or try this champagne cocktail pop.
All you do is fill the pouch, zip, and freeze. You’re ready to go! And of course, you can leave out the alcohol and instead fill with fresh fruit and coconut water for a refreshing summer treat and for the kids.
Every summer you need a a really good beach towel and this year we found it. Summer & Rose has the perfect towel and it is made from microfiber which means the sand will not stick to it. Yes, you read that right…the sand will not stick.
The towel is oversized and you can pick the perfect pattern for yourself and your friend. The towels are soft and comfy to lay on, but also thin and quick dry. When you need to dry off, just shake it to get all the sand off, dry off, and you do not end up all sandy. We also love how little space they take up in our beach bag.
Goddess Garden Organic Sunscreen
A fabulous finds for summer fun list could not be complete without a favorite sunscreen. My favorite these days is Goddess Garden’s vegan sunscreen. I do not use any chemical sunscreen, so I was so happy to find that is not only 100% biodegradable, but it’s reef-safe, cruelty-free, and non-GMO. Plus, I love that the company was founded on two important principles: helping the planet and helping people safely enjoy the sun. This summer I’ve been actually using the Goddess Garden Organics SPF 30 Sport Natural Mineral Sunscreen.
Cookbook of the Week
Our new favorite Cookbook is one that Sherry gave Dana for her birthday and it is perfect for summertime cooking. Half Baked Harvest Cookbook: Recipes from My Barn in the Mountains is filled with the perfect recipes for cookouts. We recently made the Spring Pea and Mint Risotto. The flavors were bursting and we doubled the recipe for a party.
The other recipe we just love for a cookout is the Steak Fajita and Sweet Potato Fry Salad. We actually served it as a Fajita bar and included veggie options. We used the same marinade on the steak as on the grilled tofu. It was easy, fun, and most of all, delicious.
