Are you scrambling for last minute Mother’s Day gifts that work during a pandemic? We probably aren’t going out to a fancy brunch, taking mom on a trip or visiting the spa together. However, we can still make sure Mom feels special!
We all live busy busy lives and often birthdays and holidays just sneak up on us. We all love Mom, but often life happens. Here are 6 last minute Mother’s Day gifts she will have on her doorstep by Sunday, May 10, 2020. And do not forget the card!
6 Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts
Brunch Delivered
Head on over to Zabar’s and get Mom a Morning Breakfast Basket. It is full of everything she needs for a perfect brunch. Plus, it is easy: bagels, cream cheese, rugelach and so much more.
Her Own Garden
Head on over to Amazon and find Mom all she needs to grow her own garden. It is never too late to start a garden, inside or out, and she can have it for years to come. If you do not think she is ready for a full garden, start with a book and a seedling tray to help her get started.
Farm Fresh Flowers
Nothing delivers Mother Day love like farm fresh flowers. No store bought flowers, please! There are so many places you can have flowers sent from, but Farm Girl Flowers is always our go to place. They have designs that are truly unique and beautiful. What is even more exciting is that peonies are in season, one of our absolute favorite flowers!
FabFitFun Subscription Box
Give the gift that will keep giving all year with a subscription to FabFitFun. We love that each box introduces us to new products that we may not have known about. Plus, each time mom gets the box she will think of Mother’s Day again and how much she loves you.
A Visit (however you can)
Right now we all can’t necessarily jump on a train, plane, boat, or get in our cars to go see Mom! But can you drive-by and shout greetings from the car? Can you schedule a zoom with all your siblings and your mom? Can you eat brunch “together” over FaceTime? Mom, most likely, does not need one more thing, but time with you you would rock her world. Mom will be thrilled to know you took time out of your life to spend time with her.
Charity Gift
If you know your mom has a favorite charity or a cause she is passionate about, make a donation. We all have enough stuff if you think about it and this will mean a lot to her to know that she is helping others on Mother’s Day. You can have them send a letter or email to your mom to let her know you donated. One example particularly relevant to Mother’s Day is a donation to the IRC International Rescue Committee. You can buy an emergency food kit to feed a child in need. Everyone wins!
What are you giving your mom for Mother’s Day this year?
I am a home cook that does things my way. In my kitchen, I make breakfast, pack lunches, prepare snacks, and cook dinner. During the week, we eat real food that is homemade, organic, and local. On the weekends we do explore more of our local restaurants. I bake my own bread, juice fresh oranges every other day, and make my own kombucha and other weekly favorites.
