There are some products I keep gravitating to. Maybe because they are both affordable AND work. I am so tired of being suckered into spending big bucks for products that end up being nothing special, but I feel sick throwing out. In the case of face products, rather than discarding, I end up using on my hands! What a waste of good money…
Here are 5 of my favorite fabulous finds…affordable beauty products to love.
Bear Naked Wipes
I use a variety of face wipes. It just depends on what I pick up at the store or think to order on line. But my hands down favorite are Josie Maran Bear Naked Wipes. Perhaps you’ve heard the brand that’s most famous for its Argan Oil products.
Not only are these great face wipes, super soft, and smell great, but a portion of the proceeds go to the NRDC’s Polar Bear SOS initiative and they are biodegradable. I cringe every time I use a wipe thinking of them going into land fills. With these, no worries.
Update: For November 14 only, 100% of the profits from your purchase go directly to organizations helping in the CA fires, such as the Red Cross, Humane Society, and LA Fired Dept. Foundation.
From their mascara to their overnight facial mask to their waterproof eyeliner to their color sticks, I love Thrive Causemetics. And equally as much as I love the products, I love their mission…To empower women through beauty. It is Beauty With a Purpose.
For every product purchased, one is donated to help a woman thrive. Through their partners, they deliver products and services to women experiencing cancer, homelessness, or domestic violence by giving to hospitals, organizations, and events around the world.
They also believe that changing the world starts with a single ingredient, so all their products are vegan, 100% cruelty-free formulas containing proven ingredients without the use of parabens or sulfates. All of their cosmetics are developed at Thrive Lab in Los Angeles. I truly love them!
Suntegrity Face Sunscreen and Primer
I refuse to put any chemical sunscreen on my face, so like everyone else, is always on the search for the ideal mineral sunscreen that doesn’t go on white and refuses to melt into your skin. I found Suntegrity Skincare and ended my search.
The creator made the products in memory of her mom who lost her battle with melanoma. Wanting to avoid the toxic ingredients in other sunscreens, she developed her own product line. Suntegrity Natural Moisturizing Face Sunscreen and Primer along with their body products use only the best known physical block ingredient (non-nano size zinc oxide) to provide broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection.
They also contain super anti-oxidants and amino acids to enhance that protection and improve the skin’s appearance. Exactly how I love my sunscreen!
Fairywill Electric Toothbrush
I’ve used an electronic toothbrush for years; mostly Oral B and Panasonic brands. When my Panasonic went on the fritz, I started looking for a new sonic one and came across the Fairywill. Not only was it VERY reasonably prices at $28, but it offered a lot of features my other brushes never did. It offers clean, massage, sensitive and polish options, plus a 2 minute timer with 30 second vibrations.
The Fairywill has a really long battery life and doesn’t need to sit in a recharger. You can use it just like a regular toothbrush and it recharges in a few hours with a cord. They claim 30 days, but I think mine lasts longer. This means I can travel with it and don’t need a separate electric toothbrush that runs on battery. The replacement heads are also inexpensive at $10 for four heads.
CeraVe Skin Products
I started off using their body and face sunscreen, which I still do, and have added a few others like their Moisturizing Cream. It’s for normal to dry skin and contains ceramics and hyaluronic acid. It comes in a nice pump jar so is easy to use and is non-greasy. It seems to keep my skin moisturized for hours.
The company has a whole line of products for all skin types including hydrating facial and body washes, healing ointment, and eye cream. CeraVe can be bought at any drugstore.
What are some affordable beauty products you found that work, too?
