As I near a milestone birthday, my 30th, I’ve started to pay more and more attention to my skin. I also prefer to wear little to no makeup, which makes skincare a necessary priority. I’ve been testing out many new products in the recent months from numerous companies and have curated a best of the best list for LifeDoneWell readers.
Here are my current skincare beauty product crushes for living a life done well!
Face Mask Heaven
I am a huge proponent of self-care and face masks are one of my favorite ways to unwind + preserve my natural canvas. Since I have sensitive skin and am picky about what I use on my face, I prefer to test out masks before investing in one I might not love. Enter Peter Thomas Roth’s “Meet Your Mask” kit. This little beauty is the best, because it allows you to test out 6 of the well-respected brand’s most popular masks.
The kit includes: Blue Marine Algae Intensive Hydrating, Rose Stem Cell Bio-Repair Gel, 24K Gold Mask Pure Luxury Lift & Firm, Irish Moor Mud Purifying Black, Cucumber Gel, and Pumpkin Enzyme. Each serves a specific purpose as detailed in the kit and some can even be left on overnight for maximum benefit! My favorite is the Cucumber Gel mask, since it’s hydrating and detoxifying. Bonus? The small sized tubes are ideal for travel and make a cute gift!
Don’t love masks, but want some calming cucumber in your life? Try the cucumber cleanser or nourishing eye pads.
Toner All the Way
If your cleanser is ph-balanced, you don’t technically need to include toning as a step in your skin care routine. However, I’ve found that I enjoy this step and it helps my skin stay bright and break out free. I also love supporting #bossbabes and female entrepreneurs and am an avid fan of Priscilla Tsai’s cocokind line.
Based in San Francisco, cocokind uses all USDA-certified organic products and does it at an affordable price point. They have two toners to choose from; Rosewater Toner and my personal pick the Raspberry Vinegar Toner. Check out their blog post to decide which to purchase! The Rosewater is more all-purpose and mild, while Raspberry is more acidic and better for blemish-prone skin.
It’s a Miracle
Another new prized find is IT Cosmetics 3-in-1 Miracle Water Glow Tonic. This powerhouse product is good for all skin types, and hydrates, purifies, and brightens the skin. Plus, it’s paraben and sulfate free. I’ve been using it consistently for just a week and have already noticed brighter, glowy-er skin and minimized pores. Highly recommended!
