Do you know Dave Orlowski? If not you should!!! He is one of the Original Ironman, who finished 3rd in the 1978 event and is still racing. Today, however, he is a spectator at Ironman Wisconsin. He had this great recommendation for us: “Cheer and yell loud for the athletes coming out of the swim. I used to clap, but after 17 hours my hands went numb, so now I use a cow bell and they hear you better.” Dave’s next race is in Kona for the Ironman World Championships. Again! We have had the great honor of spending quality time with Dave. If you see him today in Wisconsin, introduce yourself and you will learn so much. He is truly one of the good guys!
